This first in a series of four workshops introduces ISM’s Certified Purchasing Manager program and its credentialing process.   It lays a foundation for success in the areas of knowledge related to the Purchasing Process as outlined in the twenty tasks of Module 1.  Topics of discussion include identifying requirements, preparation of solicitations, supplier analysis and contract administration and many others.  This workshop provides critical insight into the most effective tools and techniques used by supply professionals to manage the purchasing process.

This second in a series of four workshops focuses on the Supply Environment.  Topics of discussion include negotiation, information technology, quality, and relationships both internal and external.  Participants will benefit from an enhanced understanding of key areas of influence within the supply environment and learn how to use this information to improve their effectiveness as a supply management professional.

This third in a series of four workshops addresses the criticality of Value Enhancement Strategies.  Topics of discussion include sourcing analysis, supply& inventory management, value enhancing methods, and forecasting methods & strategies.  Participants in this workshop will learn how to apply strategies that advance the competitive advantage of their company by enhancing the value driven by the supply chain.

This fourth in a series of four workshops focuses on the critically important issue of Management.  Specifically, management, organization, and human resource management are addressed in detail.  Competency in these areas is critical because of its direct impact on the level of success a supply manager has with the purchasing process, supply environment, and value enhancement strategies.  Participants will benefit from an insightful discussion of various management dimensions and learn how to increase their effectiveness as a supply management professional.
